Since 2016, Wildflower School has created community with families throughout Orange, Durham and Chatham counties. You'd be hard-pressed to find a school as unique as Wildflower!
We create our day in our forest, farm and expansive and light-filled shipping container school, spending much of our time romping through our 34-acres, feeding the bunnies, chickens, goats and donkeys, climbing trees and boulders, making art in the Art Studio and MakerSpace, investigating science both indoors and out, creating lunch for each other during Children's Cookery and more! Our school children enjoy the farm areas and forests on both 3000 and 3100 Damascus Church Road. We spend our days exploring, climbing trees and rocks, digging in the dirt, gardening, and more!

"The wider the range of possibilities we offer children, the more intense will be their motivations and the richer their experiences. We must widen the range of topics and goals, the types of situations we offer and their degree of structure, the kinds and combinations of resources and materials, and the possible interactions with things, peers, and adults."
